By registering for Homework Hub, you agree to these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully. If you do not agree, do not register or use the service.
1. Who May Use Homework Hub
- Only parents or legal guardians may create and manage a Homework Hub account.
- You must be at least 18 years old to register.
- Registration requires a valid email address. Referral and invite codes are optional.
- One account per family. You may add multiple children within one account.
- You must provide accurate information when registering.
2. The Service
Homework Hub is an AI-assisted homework support tool for children in Grades 1–8. It generates practice questions aligned to curriculum expectations and provides automated feedback on submitted answers.
- The service is educational in nature and intended to supplement, not replace, school instruction.
- Questions and feedback are generated by AI and may occasionally contain errors. Parents should review results where accuracy is important.
- The service is not a tutoring service. It does not provide human teachers or educators.
- We do not guarantee that use of Homework Hub will improve academic performance.
3. Parental Responsibility
- As the account holder, you are responsible for how your children use the service.
- You are responsible for ensuring your children use the service appropriately and honestly.
- You agree to supervise your children's use of the service as appropriate for their age.
- You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure. Do not share your password.
- You must promptly notify us at privacy@homeworkhub.app if you believe your account has been compromised.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the service for any purpose other than educational homework support.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or extract the AI prompts or service logic.
- Share your account credentials with others.
- Use the service to generate content that is harmful, offensive, or inappropriate for children.
- Attempt to circumvent access controls or abuse protections (including registration verification and rate limits).
- Use automated tools to make requests to the service, including automated account creation.
5. Privacy and Children's Data
Our collection and use of personal information, including children's data, is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By agreeing to these Terms, you also agree to the Privacy Policy.
You represent and warrant that:
- You are the parent or legal guardian of any child whose data you submit.
- You have the right to provide consent on behalf of those children.
- The information you provide about your children is accurate.
6. Free Trial and Subscriptions
- New families get a free trial with full access. No payment card is required to start, and nothing is charged automatically when the trial ends.
- Continuing after the trial requires a paid subscription. The current price, billing interval, and what's included are always shown before you pay.
- You can cancel your subscription at any time, effective at the end of the paid period.
- If your trial ends and you don't subscribe, your family's data is paused, not deleted — see the Privacy Policy (Data Retention) for details and deletion options.
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period — monthly or annually — at the rate then in effect for your plan, until you cancel. For annual plans, we email you 30 to 60 days before each renewal date; if an annual subscription renews and you cancel promptly afterward, we will refund the renewal charge.
- Promotional pricing (such as a back-to-school offer) applies as stated when you subscribe. A locked promotional rate, where offered, will not be increased for as long as your subscription remains active.
- Changes to your subscription. We may amend only the following specific terms of your subscription, and only these: (a) the subscription price; (b) the features and subjects included in your plan; and (c) usage limits, such as the number of child profiles. We will give you at least 30 days' notice before any such change takes effect, in plain language, together with your right to cancel before the change applies. A locked promotional rate, where offered, is exempt and will not be increased for as long as your subscription remains active.
7. Availability and Changes
- We will try to keep the service available and running, but we do not guarantee uptime; outages and interruptions may occur.
- We may add, change, or remove features at any time. For paid subscriptions, changes to the price, included features, or usage limits of your plan are governed by Section 6 (Changes to your subscription).
- We may update these Terms. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email in advance.
8. Intellectual Property
- The Homework Hub software, design, and content (excluding your family's data) are owned by the developer.
- Your family's data (questions, answers, progress history) belongs to you. We store it to provide the service; we do not claim ownership of it.
- You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from the Homework Hub software or design.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
We do not warrant that AI-generated questions or feedback are error-free, complete, or suitable for any specific educational curriculum or exam.
10. Limitation of Liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF DATA OR ACADEMIC OUTCOMES.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or related to the service shall not exceed the amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim (which, during the free trial, is zero).
11. Termination
- By you: You may close your account and request data deletion at any time by emailing privacy@homeworkhub.app.
- By us: We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or abuse the service. We will give reasonable notice where possible. (A trial ending is not a termination — see Section 6: your data is paused, not deleted.)
- Upon termination, your data will be deleted within 30 days unless retention is required by law.
12. Dispute Resolution and Governing Law
Before initiating any legal proceedings, please contact us at privacy@homeworkhub.app. We will attempt to resolve any dispute informally within 30 days.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of Ontario, Canada, unless applicable consumer protection laws in your jurisdiction provide otherwise.
